My dad had a blurry old military tattoo that I admired as kid. I once asked him, "But who does the tattoos?" He told me it was "the tattoo artist." The moment I realised it was a profession, I knew exactly what I wanted to be when I grew up. I went on to scrape and claw my way through a traditional apprenticeship and now, more than two decades later I love tattooing more than ever.
Over the years I’ve become a well-rounded artist, thanks in part to my education outside the tattoo world. I studied Illustration at OCAD University in Toronto and went on to earn an MA in Graphic Design from the University of Hertfordshire. I’m comfortable working in most styles, but my main focus is illustrative blackwork that varies from delicate, nature-themed designs to dark and macabre imagery.
I pride myself on building a genuine connection with the people I tattoo. Sessions are relaxed, and often full of laughter. I'd love to hear about your tattoo ideas. I hope to hear from you soon!
